The Calgary Exchange Group (CEG) was created in the mid-1970’s to meet the human resource (HR) needs of smaller energy companies who are not eligible for membership in larger human resources groups due to their size or lack of full- time human resource professionals. Today, CEG has grown to include member companies with a varied number of employees and continues to maintain a focus on the Western Canadian energy market, allowing members to share information on many aspects of Human Resources Management.
CEG is a group through which company representatives can discuss HR subjects including compensation and benefits, labour legislation changes, labour relations, trends in employment policies, training and development concepts, and occupational health & safety issues in the Western Canadian energy industry. We are a group of companies that share common objectives and meet six (6) times per year in pursuit of them. We are a not-for-profit, informal group that pools resources to provide lunch meetings and tools to gather information and therefore do not have a charter.
In addition to the camaraderie that member companies’ representatives enjoy during meetings, we develop candid and confidential relationships for sharing relevant information.
Mission
The Calgary Exchange Group is devoted to exchanging information, sharing experiences, and exploring trends through a collaborative forum that enables member networking.
